No Surprises Act Notice - Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

For Out-of-Network/Private Pay clients:

Starting January 2022, under the new law, No Surprise Act, if you do not have insurance or not using your insurance, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

All clients paying out of pocket will receive a Good Faith Estimate of the total expected cost of psychotherapy services, which can be provided either before or after you schedule a service. As your healthcare provider, I must give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one (1) business day before your scheduled services.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For more information visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
